no more indoor smoking? seattle's going all NYC? i had no idea- i am so out of touch with what's going on over there on the west coast.

yeah dude. seattle is TOTALLY in the california and NYC non-smoking club now. there is a "no smoking within 25 feet of a public building entrance or vent" rule but no one really follows it. it makes bars pretty not shady though, which is a shame. its not quite the same to drown your sorrows in a room that has clean air, if you know what i mean...

dude... and today my roommate burned hot dogs on the stove (by leaving them unattended).

weird how all of this happened on the eve of the ban going into effect, eh?

(slight side note: i love how everyone is freaked out about the ban. coming from california, i can vouch for the fact that people get used to it and not being able to smoke indoors - almost anywhere - will become second nature. although i do have a sneaky feeling that some sort of amendment or repeal to this ban, particularly the 25-foot rule, will be on the ballot next year.)

man! burning shit in the microwave SUCKS. once when i was babysitting these kids put some playdough in the microwave for 10 minutes... you know where that went... to FLAMES!!!!

but your burning event is ironic indeed. turns out that fire was caused by smoking in bed too...
