New York:

Subways? So totally awesome.

Boots? If i see one more pair that looks like someone skinned an eskimo i might lash out.

Sweeny Todd? Oh yes yes yes!

5 hour plane delay? Meh, that was New Jersey, it doesn't count.

My mom? I would like to abolish her blackberry... but she's damn rad.

Kristin, I agree about the boots, like at least if they were cool it would be a little more justification for the fur, but no.

dude what are you doing today, let's hang out...

mleah! seriously. its like girls with tightass jeans stuffed into their boots that might also be justified if we had any semblance of snow in these parts...

but in other topics... we should hang out. are you going to be on bainbridge at all this weekend? guess where i'll be!

I LOVED Sweeney Todd!! The 5th hosted it in October, and I had such a blast!

And I'm hoping that my upcoming trip to Boston is free of delays, but at least Dallas (on the way there) & Chicago (coming back) are better than Jersey (haha).

dude i wanted to go when it was at the 5th but that must have been during one of my "broke as fuck" stages, one of the many this year.

why are you going to boston?

and yes, almost everywhere is better than new jersey.

VIVA IRELAND!!!

I'm heading to Boston over Spring Break to visit a friend of mine who moved there about six months ago. I've never been to the East coast, so I figured this would be a perfect opportunity...

And yes, VIVA IRELAND!! Like, you, I'm gonna have lots of mileage under my belt at the end of the year :)

No man! The New York subways are shit! What's with all the "no bills, cards only" ticket kiosks? I suppose I'm biased since I've experienced both the London Underground and the Metro in Paris, but I still think they're dirty, confusing, and often malfunctioning. But otherwise, New York is fantastic!

haha! me, a seattlite that experiences the inadequacies of our public transit was indeed mesmorized by the NY subways. so gritty with their seeping filth and peeling lead paint, just like in the movies! and they come like ALL THE TIME! none of this wait an hour on sundays shit. perhaps my opinion will change when i visit europe this summer... will you be in aber? i would like to visit you if so!

p.s. how was your stay in new york with you dad?

I'll be in Aber at least until July 11th, which is my Graduation. I don't know about the rest of the summer. I've applied for a Celtic Studies MA at Cardiff and if I get in, I'll be moving down there. It's easy for me to come up to Aber though, so if you're there I can meet you. If I don't get into Cardiff, I'll either stay in Aber and do an MA there, or I'll go back to Seattle. Haven't decided yet. All the small-town incest and drunken haunts are starting to freak me out. New York was awesome. The weather was great, my dad's cousins took me all over Manhattan and wouldn't let me pay for anything, and their sons were way cool. One's an art handler at a big-time gallery and the other is a freelance film technician and tours in two Ramones-esque bands. He's 25 and way hot. Okay I know that's wrong since he's my second cousin, but sharing 1/8 of our genes isn't that bad right?

They may be dirty, but they are air conditioned and that is wonderful when it is over 100 degrees outside.
