I've decided on my guestbook, I stole the idea from classiclindsey. This fantastic woman off etsy is making us our guestbook, where we will put our photobooth photos and a message. It will be about 8 by 9 and have dark grey pages.
We will have this design on the front:

but I am still trying to decide on colour..
not sure which would look best with dark pages:

I've been talking about alot of wedding stuff on here. It's just nice to get it on paper and see the options. Honestly, I've been pretty low key about all the plans. I'm excited and trying to be as organized as I can but it's certainly not taken over my entire life. One of my bridesmaids has another friend getting married this summer and the horror stories of what she is making everyone in her life go through seems insane to me.
Also, just in case we didn't have enough going on, Mark and I decided to buy a condo. We bought it privately ( DO not do it this way if you are a first time buyer, one of the most stressful things I have ever done) but it was all worth it in the end. It's on Carlton between broadway and assiniboine, sort of the by ledge. It's in an old heritage building - hardwood floors, 1200 square feet, 11 ft tall ceilings, 2nd flr, south facing, balconey - and the best part - we are completely re doing the entire thing. Right now it is a 2 bedroom, we are making it into a one bedroom, expand the bathroom to include heated floors and a steam shower, we are exposing the brick in the bedroom, the kitchen and living room.. we are taking out the wall between the kitchen and living room and making it very loft like... I'm so happy I am marrying a carpenter. This is such an exciting project for us, I design, Mark builds. But Mark also has really great design sense. He is treating it like a job and everything should be finished by July 1st. I'll post pictures.

I've also been thinking alot about acting. Singers practice by singing everyday. Painters practice by painting every day. Musicians practice by playing their instrument. But what do actors do? Most of us wait for auditions and then go into a manic state of procrastination and panic. I want to be an actor who continues to practice and work all the time. I've been thinking alot about moving to Toronto, I've always been so quick to blame Winnipeg - the lack of oppurtunities - and in some ways it is true but I can't expect to go to Toronto and suddenly become a better actor. I want to go prepared. I want to go, knowing that I have put everything I can into this craft. And also, I cannot work in my home. I want to keep my home and my work seperate. So I've decided to rent a studio space and go there everyday. Practice voice, work on monologues, read, write, take classes, work on accents. I want to treat my body well and as an instrument of my work. I love the idea of having my own little space, away from home. When I was working on my audition and I rented a room at U of W, I got so much more work done then I ever did here. So it's decided. I can see next year as working as a TA, serving at my little organic restuarant, lots of yoga and swimming, cooking gourmet food and going to my own little studio. Sounds pretty nice to me. When I move to Toronto I want to be so prepared and comfortable with myself and I've realized that doesn't just happen, you make it happen.

okay thats all.
I think maybe I like that last blue colour the best of the journals.
