During my quest to see every best picture...

I am on a quest to see every movie that has ever won an Academy Award for Best Picture.  I think it's a pretty good quest.  I like it.  I began this quest when I got Netflix and I have every single Best Picture winner on my queue (bringing my total movies on my Netflix queue to 299).

Because sometimes this quest feels more like a chore than it ought

What are your favorites so far?

It's tough to pick a favorite because they're all SO different. My favorite of the oldest movies I've seen so far is Gentleman's Agreement (1947). My favorite of the newest movies is probably Crash - I know that's cheating because it's this year's, but it was really that good. My favorite from the middle - The Godfather and Gandhi (quite the pairing!). I still have a lot to go - 41 left on the list.
