For once, patience and hard work are paying off for me these days. I'm getting a 50 cent raise sometime in June or July. It's good for now, but the big one will come next year. Especially since I have finally decided that I will definitely take my first surveying class in the fall. The company pays for it, and I'll automatically get a raise for it ( Read more... )

I've had a very good weekend.

So yesterday was my birthday. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday. My boss gave me half the day off. In his words, "I wouldn't just do this for anyone. Nothing is sweeter than seeing so many stunned Yankee fans. Their little $200 million dollar payroll got their ass handed to them by. At the end of the game, all the O's fans started chanting, "Sweep those Yankees!" in the same rhythm as the ever-annoying, "Let's go Yankees!", chant.
