Two of my grandparents went through the system, and they didn't get lost. The ones who get lost are the ones with a family that either doesn't care or doesn't keep up with the facility.

As for cancer in the neck, well, my grandmother had cancer in her esophagus. You'll get through it, and there is time to say goodbye.

Sorry for the downer.

I might be scared, and I might be upset, but I haven't given up. I'm not looking for resignation, I'm looking for hope.

Fuck saying goodbye. I'm not doing it this time.

*hugs*

As long as your grandfather has somebody looking out for him, which he obviously does, he won't get lost in the system. Where is he having his tests done?

Just remember, both your Dad and I are walking, talking proof that cancer can be beaten multiple times over.

If you ever want to talk, don't hesitate to call me, any time day or night.

*Many hugs and warm wishes*

I lost my grandfather a long time ago to cancer. He wasn't lost in the system but by the time we caught it, it was too late. I think the cliched phrase here is , "It is never easy to lose someone." but the real thing I wanna say is keep your hope alive.

My grandfather wasn't perfect by any means but he knew he didn't have much time left. He was so happy to have his family support him and pray for him and he tried to tell me way back when to not feel bad if he did pass but be proud I did everything I could to show him I cared.

God knows better than we do about a great deal of things. Place it fully in his hands and see what happens. I have a feeling that your grandfather might be alright if it was caught early enough, but if I'm wrong I apologize.

Heh. To this day I've lost both my grandfathers and so has Katrina. If you need anyone to chat with just give either of us a buzz. That's what we're here for.
