wow, i am truly impressed with your diligence and professionalism in this matter. Many people could have easily taken a rougher approach and just been totally off the handle. Kudos to you and your efficiency. And you are absolutely justified in addressing your concerns. We often open up a great deal of ourselves to people we feel we can trust in this medium. And if have gone and developed a "friendship" with someone you expect them to reciprocate the genuiness that you are giving of yourself. Well done.

It's interesting to see how much this LJ thing touches so many people in different ways and connects people from all over the world.... and for the most part, it's positive. But when things like this happen and someone's open and friendly nature is taken advantage of... it just spoils the experience.

I'm curious to know who this person is. Anonimity is one thing, but you've talked to her on the phone assuming she was who she claimed to be. It isn't like you were a random stranger. She had no reason to feel threatened by you...

ok, babbling will stop now. I'm curious to see how she will reply. It makes me want to demand that everyone on my friends list post a picture with a personalized note to me so I know they are who they say they are.
