Boots! Boots! Boots!
Yesterday after school Teresa (another volunteer) and I went to Pastores for boots. Pastores is a tiny town we pass through on the way to Itzapa and it´s known for its boots, belts, and general leather goods. The shuttle basically just dropped us off on the way back to Antigua. Tired
I´m exhausted. I went to bed last night at 10ish, woke up around 12 and read my book (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) til I finished it. I may have gotten a total of 3 hours of sleep last night. 2 whole days without rain!
Yesterday I actually walked home in SUNLIGHT! I actually needed my sunglasses when we left Itzapa! That hasn´t happened in weeks and weeks. Today was the same, though I have a Spanish class in 10 minutes and the weather can change by the time I have to walk home. 2 weeks left
I already have only 2 weeks left. Well, 2 weeks and 2 days. 12 days at school. Then I travel for a few days and get back on August 18. I found a tour that does Rio Dulce, Lívingston, Tikal, and a couple others over 3 days, and that´s pretty much exactly what I´d wanted to do. Finally! I had a good morning class today! They actually behaved themselves, were engaged in the lesson and participated!! I´m not entirely sure why, but I´m not about to question it. My classes are still like night and day - the morning class has continued to be awful for the last 2 days and the afternoon class is great. I even had good activities for both today and the morning class didn´t get to play the game I had planned because their behavior sucked. La Llorona
My morning class today were complete devils. They were running around, punching each other, wrestling each other, and wouldn´t do anything. That was the GOOD part of the morning.
