Well, will you be happy staying with your parents? Will you be able to be yourself with out any shame or them looking down on you?

I would be happier moving out but I won't be able to be an "openly gay man" I won't be able to have people over at my house and visit. SO no if at my house I feel like they don't approve of me (they've said that) and i can't be myself around them.

If I were you I would move out for the simple fact that I couldn't stand living where my family doesn't approve of me.

i know but they don't understand that. then again they are technically my grandparents, so maybe its an age thing. thanks for the advice

Well, living with your parents and having them know you are gay is very ackward at first. However, I think it forces them to come to terms faster with you being gay

i'm moving out. Thaknms though fo rthe beautiful speech. I would try to make it up there to pullman so you could throw my a party but my car would never make it. And i won't cut off my family I figure once i'm a few blocks away and living with a gay guy (gasp!) they'll have to realize It's not just a phase and I'm still the same old kid except they just know a little more about me. I know they love it's just that they need to accept this part of me because Its part of who i am. thanks for the advice.

no prob. If you need any more help there are alot of great books out there on the subject. I use to think the idea was dumb but I looked into a couple and it really helped me out.
