Just re-read the opening chapters of my drafty novel Willowshantry.  Wow, it's pretty horrible.  But I added 120 words, bringing it up to about 19,300, and they tell me it's called a draft because it's full of holes.  Which it is.

But it's still an interesting character, situation, etc.  Just need to find the plot.  Which isn't going to happen soon

But you have something. You have an interesting character and an intriguing situation, and that can create a plot. And I have no doubt that when you do have time, you'll find that plot.

Thanks! The other interesting thing is, I haven't looked at it for three years, and now that I do, I can *see* myself fumbling around looking for the plot. Plus all the things that need to be done (in addition to adding a plot).
