So I must say that I am very disappointed about the outcome of this election. Not because Obama won or McCain lost (although that does suck), but because I feel a very big reason for Obama's victory was based on his celebrity status. Had he won based on what he stands for, then maybe I'd feel differently. Needless to say that obviously not everyone

i don't think a big reason of why he won was his celebrity status, and I really think that most young people knew who they were voting for and why, it just seems that people only do it because its "cool

TOTALLY agree !! i was mad about that part too because I actually know people who voted solely for the reasons you posted . They had no idea what his policies were, or what he planned to do with our country. So yeah, i felt the exact same way ; at least if you're going to vote be somewhat educated about your candidate !
