Woioh, chilling and intense ! ♥ Particular love for the intentional leaps of punctuation and the lines in italics - Reborn's ! Reborn was great in this. I'm a bit ambivalent about the very end though, I like the idea of the switch from absolutely chilling to sweet but the very last line is... a bit too sappy for me. It makes the contrast that more shocking, though :3 Very well done !

I admit I kind of want to murder Kaoru as well... though probably not that viciously.

lol. I don't really want to murder Kaoru. I understand that the Shimon family are following a greater purpose and if someone has to get hurt (unfortunately Yamamoto) then blaaagh I guess. Besides if he wasn't hurt, we'd miss out on that great Gokudera line. XD

Reborn is a sick bastard. People who don't understand this don't understand Reborn. Sure he's on the "good side" but he used to be an assassin that ran around with Bianci and we all know how crazy she is. XD

And originally the line was going to be "Yamamoto blushed" but then I was like eeehhhh not 5980 enough OMFG WHERE AM I GOING TO POST THIS?! and the thought process degraded from there. XD I'm not a big fan of it either, but it suits it's purpose? Yeah. It suits it's purpose. :D

The "also" was referring to Goku-chan ;) And I do agree with your line of reasoning. Rationally, I'm loving what's happening, it's great to have KHR finally get back to serious business and amazingly so. But the 80fangirl in me is raging all the same xD

Yes. Reborn is just that good at concealing his sick bastardry. So good, in fact, that we don't notice it even though he routinely kicks, shoots and kills Tsuna and wants to make Yamamoto a killer. which is gonna be simply awesome if Amano ever gets to it.

Actually the blush thing is what makes it sappy, IMO, you'll never see me complain about 5980 kissing 8D ;) But yes, it does work.

lol. I was trying to uke-fy Yamamoto. Because usually Gokudera's blushing all the time. I bought a new DJ the other day and it was 5980 and I was hardcore confuzzled because they were both blushing and looking like little school boys and I couldn't figure out who would top until Gokudera kissed Yamamoto. XD
