I've been moving along my attempts at geekification of the girls by exposing them to the right sort of TV and movies. At the moment they're working their way through Sailor Moon, which Astrid is so-so on but Carys loves. I've run out of Miyazaki movies to show them for now (Princess Mononoke will probably have to wait a couple of years yet). So -

You're going to needs dubbed stuff, yeah? Because there's a great childrens anime called Stormy Night but it's only available with subtitles.

There's always Astroboy, both 1980s and 2000s versions.

Can't remember if The Girl Who Leaped Through Time has anything non-kid friendly or not.
