yeah i've already been told if i need help disciplining people that they will give me tips. i'm not too worried to begin with. i think it will be a little while before i hold some power. funny b/c i'm the younger one. it's a little weird b/c my dad is super excited. i mean, i'm excited, but i know it's not gonna be super fun either. we shall see.

Congratulations on the position! Sorry I never respond to your journal, but I do read it diligently! I'm glad that part of your life seems to be working out well for you.

There's a totally awesome book, which I am at a loss why its not required reading in school (amongst others such as Sun Tzu's Art of War). It is How to Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie. It was written in 1937 (the text will slightly date itself), but its by far one of the best books I've read with regard to working with people. I'd highly recommend it (its cheap, especially used) because its a fast and easy read and can _really_ help a person if they're in a managerial or sales position. It's amazon.com rank is 92; meaning there are only 91 books that they sell that are more popular, which really says something about it!
