Well, it took them long enough, but I finally heard from my sister tonight. She decided she would head north to Oxford, MS to stay with her boyfriend. Clean water and electricity seem to have a draw for her. She was able to call me along the way to let me know that everyone was okay. Thankfully only minor damage to my dad's house and aunt's

You must be so relieved - I know how I felt during Andrew when I learned my family was all safe and had safely fled. Best wishes to everyone that they return to as much of their homes as possible.

Thanks Heidi...I am terribly relieved to know my family is doing well. But now that I am not as worried about them, I had time to realize that I had many friends down there as well. At this point, all I can do is pray for them.

I'm so glad to hear your family is okay. I wish everyone down south could be so fortunate, too. We still need to hear from Jon's cousin. (hopefully, he's just too busy to contact people...)

Thanks Jennie! Just so you know...phone service down there is HORRIBLE or non-existent. So no news is not necessarily bad. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.
