Ironically many people would be thrilled to get medical coverage for $800 a semester. There used to be a Washtenaw county plan that was cheaper but it's apparently not taking new members anymore because of the current crisis.

Since you have access to UHS for routine doctor stuff you should investigate Catastrophic Health Insurance, I think you can get it throgh blue cross for around $300 a semester.
