Voted in the advanced pole since I have no class or meetings on Tuesday giving me the option of an exceptionally long Thanksgiving weekend if I don't have to get back into town to vote. One thing that did strike me was that, while they checked my address and name, as I used my student card for photo ID this time they had no idea if I was Canadian

You still have to have a voters registration card though, I bet the people at the poles just assume that if you have a registration card you're eligible to vote.

That's just it. I registered there and didn't have a registration card which is why I expected them to ask.
