His features showed signs of aggravation as he sat down to send Korda a secure email. He'd have called but didn't want any of his current ill temper oozing out while talking. He read the memo. Why would he be so cryptic? And why breach their arrangement? He immediately set out to send a reply but then thought that time had passed. If Kronos said he was on his way, he most certainly was and with unwavering intent. It would be futile to try and sway him. This was a dicey situation! As much as he wanted to trust, it was difficult under these circumstances. Korda took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He'd make necessary arrangements for security and let Cee know. After that, all he could do was wait.

That evening Kronos arrived at the front gate with a small suitcase and pet carrier. The security was aware of his coming and escorted him in after letting Korda know.

He'd never been here and was impressed by the beauty of the estate even in the growing darkness of evening. They started up the long road that led to the main house.

She placed the house phone back in the cradle and nodded at André on the other side of the desk. "They're on their way up to the house." She bent over and checked her reflection in the chrome of the stapler. "Do I look okay?"

He nodded and then smiled. "Let me make sure." He rose and took her into his arms in a loving and nurturing embrace. "Perfume, exquisite. Bling, shiny." He loved the grin she gave him knowing they were thinking the same thing. "Make-up, check. Hair, very nice. And your dress…" He stepped away from her while holding up her hands. "Stunning! This might be too much for him."
