Of particular note:

I realize that we have been infiltrated with a number of Northern
transplants, and they are all welcome, as long as they choose to live amongst us in peace without spending all

I do disagree, however, with some very important claims:

The best barbecue in the world is Mitchell's in Barney.

No. While I have not had this Bar-B-Que, the title of "Best Bar-B-Que will never be claimed by a Georgian.

The best seafood was at Williams in Savannah

Wrong.

and the best catfish is at Ray's Pond in in Ray City

Nope.

Other than that, a good read.

Georgia still ain't nothing compared to the Palmetto State, though. ;)

I will openly admit I'm partial to the South Carolinian bar-b-que to which you've subjected me. I never really liked it before. I have no idea about the catfish or fried chicken but I'm willing to bet that my Nana's chicken could beat anyone's, at least in my mind.
