7:00 AM - Recieved a call from my brother Brent. Brian, my youngest brother, is in the hospital and in surgery. At about 2 am he had dove off of the rocks at Presque Isle while swimming and hit the rocks. His neck is broken. He must have had someone there with him, or he would likely have drowned as well. Thanks. It means a lot, but unfortunately there really isn't much that anyone but the docs can do right now.

They are keeping him heavily sedated for the weekend. It is looking good for him having arm movement, but hands are not so good. They had to remove the C5 Vertebrae.

I'm flying to SF tomorrow to teach, but will be in touch with family. My parents have been gotten ahold of, and should be back home around 7pm tomorrow. And my other brother, grandparents, and one of my aunts and uncles are all there along with assorted kids and family members.

I'm going to try to see what is going on and once I get back from this trip may plan a trip back. No idea as to time or durration at this point, but I will try to keep you all informed, and post more here as time permits.
