My Cousin Sarah put together this listing of various fundraising events as well as a brief explanation of what happened and a picture of Brian. Unfortunately I haven't been home in over a year, and when I was back I didn't get to see him much as her was working out of state until just before we left.

Anyhow, here is the URL

Brandon just a quick note from mom and dad to thank you for all your help with brian's comp. site, It helps so much keeping everyone
up to date with his progress. Soon as Kenny comes home from Florida we should have a lap top for him to see all his mail and comments.
Meanwhile Katie is going to print them, and when he gets visitors they can read one or two to him at a time. It is still is a lot for him to process. Thanks again

P.S. How hard is it to get him (or update) a voice activated laptop
for him to use while in the hosp. love mom

No idea actually I think that just requires the software. The most common software for that is called JAWS, but he may actually know of others. Other than that though the laptop is a normal one with a mic/headset for it. Mic/headsets are relatively cheap these days, and I use one from logitech that cost me about $20 and comes with a ten foot chord. The chord length is key as that lets you actually comfortably reach the back end of most computers, or set a laptop to the side without ripping the headset off your head because the chord is at its full length ( ... )

Ok, now that I have looked into it a bit more I am reminded that one of the better softwares for doing voice stuff is Dragon Naturally Speaking. It costs about $200, but let me know before you buy it as I can see if there are any discounts or deals I can find.
