House question:

In looking for a house, or remodeling one, which rooms would you preffer carpet in? Why? What about large area rugs?

I'd probably skip carpeting all together if I could afford really nice area rugs.. I mean nice oriental rugs..with depth to them.. otherwise I'd carpet my bedrooms only.. but I prefer wood floors..

Large area rugs rock in the living room, but the bedrooms need carpet. But I'm biased because I walk in my sleep, and nothing sucks more than waking up because your feet hit a cold floor.

Other than that, I just love the look of rugs, and the flexibility in decorating.
