[Room 230, Very very late Tuesday Night/Early Wednesday Morning]

Dec 05, 2006 23:29

It wasn't unusual for Krycek to be up late, especially when he was trying to piece something together, nor was it odd for Jake to have given up and gone to bed much earlier.

Krycek stared at his computer screen, rereading the message in his email inbox for what had to be the 50th time.

It came upon a midnight clear. )

Kawalsky shoved his hands into his pockets as he headed back up to the school. He'd had a craving for pizza and ended up taking his time and his pizza down to the docks.

By the time he finished, it was later than he'd expected and colder than he'd expected. After the weekend, he was twitchy and had checked a pistol out to take with him into town. Just in case.

He headed back to the weapons locker to check it back in before going to bed.

Krycek had walked through the dorms, heading towards the weapons locker as well. His attention was elsewhere - which, perhaps, wasn't particularly smart, but the last time he'd seen a bounty hunter, Jake had been shot in the head.

He was particularly eager to make sure that didn't happen again.

Kawalsky stopped around the corner from the weapons locker, checking his change. He should have checked it sooner, but the lure of pizza was distracting. Frowning because he was pretty sure the Pizza Planet girl had given him a dollar too little, he pocketed the money and continued on.

He jerked to a stop when he saw movement, still jumpy from the trolls, and held back so he could look but wouldn't be seen.

Krycek reached to open the door of the weapons locker and glanced around him reflexively.

He didn't want anyone seeing him and asking awkward questions, or letting this get back to Jake. He didn't even know if he'd be back anytime soon and additional pursuit wouldn't help at all.

Seeing no one, he slipped into the room.
