plus once you go around killing people, they will want to get revenge and kill you, and thus murder becomes justified in their minds, and before you know it the majority opinion will still sway to your side. isn't that how war goes? but then again noone ever gets 'murdered' in a war, the just get 'killed'. explain to me the difference

Murder is unlawful killing. You can debate if killing in war is lawful or not but it is not a closed case either way.
I consider abortion not to be murder because I do not think there is anything unlawful about it. Even if it were illegal I would not consider it unlawful.

In the legal sense of the word yes, there would be no murder if their were no laws about killing.

But on another level, no, murder would still exist regardless. The last sentance of my reply to your comment was supposed to address this. Illegal and unlawful may not be synonyms in this context.
