Had minor problems with the rescue about the kitten I wanted... Namely them 'forgetting' to mention that there were TWO other people who put in applications ahead of me for Frenzy..
Carli had the wonderful idea of checking the paper for kittens..

Just a small suggestion for you and your new kitten when he gets a bit older...

Since you had problems with Sirius and urinary crystals, I highly suggest that you invest in a catfood that has a 'urinary' formula. These foods usually change the PH-balance of the cat's urine to prevent crystalization. My cat was required to be on this type of food due to getting crystals. However, if you know you can't afford the treatment for it, it might be better to get that type of food as preventive medicine. I believe Petsmart sells a cheap brand of urinary catfood at around $8.00 for a 20/lb bag. Let me know if you need any other information on it.

already gone there... right now JT's on Purina One Kitten food, but when he's older I'll definitely change the food. I searched through ALL the brands and went with the one that the Vet school Carli's sister is going to recommends as well as noticing that it's one of the few with REAL meat as primary(first) ingredient and NO corn meal.
