Jun smiled happily as he came home from work and saw his lover Kazu preparing a meal, humming a soft song under his breath. Kazu hadn’t realised that he was home yet, Jun loved these moments, he loved the moment that Kazu turned and saw him, a shy smile curving his lips as his eyes shone as he said ‘welcome home’. To the outside world they were just an ordinary couple but they had a secret, that no-body in their apartment block knew and it was something that Jun wanted to forget. At work and to their neighbor’s he was Matsumoto Jun and Maiga Kazunari was his lover, the truth was his real name was Maiga Jun, and Kazu was his one year older brother as well as his lover. Jun knew nobody would understand if they found but he would protect his Kazu. As if Kazu had heard his thoughts, he turned his eyes shining slightly and a small smile creeping over his lips.
“Wel-co-me hom-e” He breathed shyly and Jun threw his coat down and came to hug him tightly
“I’m home” he said pressing their lips together, his tongue immediately probing at Kazu’s lips to gain entrance which Kazu gave automatically. They shared a long lingering kiss before Kazu pulled away blushing hotly to finish the rest of the food while Jun went to change out of his suit and into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt “Is everything okay?” Jun asked seeing the nervous thoughtful expression on the smaller guys face as they were about to eat dinner, Kazu jumped slightly looking at him his eyes widening, Jun gave a smile tugging him into a hug, placing his lips on the top of his head,
“Nii-chan, called” Kazu whispered and Jun immediately pulled away as if he had been scolded, coming back to reality with a bump
“What for?”
“H-he s-said we sh-should visit and that if we don’t by next weekend, th-they will come to see us…” Kazu answered in his small voice looking at the table and Jun gave a smile he really was only a little more confident than then, he thought reaching he stroked his cheek lightly, the tips of his fingers just ghosting his skin
“That wouldn’t be good ne” Jun murmured and Kazu shook his head slowly, his cheeks flushing a rosy pink, leaving Jun to think how adorably cute he was and that was the problem with having their three brothers coming to visit them, he and Kazu weren’t normal brothers and they hadn’t been for a long time but none of the family knew that. He pulled Kazu against him again tilting his face up he pressed their lips together loving the feel of Kazu’s thin lips against his, he sucked at the bottom encouraging Kazu to part them a little, Jun knew Kazu still had doubts about this, their relationship, he knew his brother woke in the middle of the night and cried and he wasn’t stupid enough to miss the pain in his eyes, but he refused to let him go, Kazu was his, nobody else was allowed to touch him. He wasn’t sure when he realized that Kazu had meant something more to him than his other three brothers, being the youngest of five he had always admired all of his brothers, Satoshi their reluctant but worthy leader, who was always the one who would make sure he and Kazu were eating properly, Sho who more often than not acted like their second mama, whose presence could instantly calm down even their hyper brother Masaki, whose enthusiasm for fried chicken was surpassed only by his enthusiasm for life he loved them all but Kazunari, his Kazu was different. Kazu who could make him happy just by smiling, Jun took Kazu’s chopsticks out of his hand and walked Kazu gently into the living room pushing him down onto the sofa
“Ar-en’t yo-u hun-gr-y?” Kazu asked looking up at him with his innocent puppy like eyes, and Jun kissed him, it was deeper this time with more force behind it
“Only for you”
“So sil-ly…” Kazu mumbled but allowed him to do what he wanted. Kazu would always let him do what he wanted Jun thought later as he carried the now sleeping Kazu into the bedroom, love bites shining bright red on his neck and chest.
“Kazu…” I love you’ he finished to himself but was unable to voice the words even to the sleeping Kazu, not wanting him to feel anymore trapped to him. After making sure Kazu was tucked into bed he switched on his computer and made the arrangements for them to go back to their small town, back to being just brothers. That Friday came all too soon and before he knew it Jun and Kazu were about to board the train
“J, do you really want to go home?” Kazu asked and Jun sighed
“No, not really but Nii-chan, aniki and Masa-nii will break down the door if we don’t go back” He grumbled and Kazu gave a laugh causing Jun to smile as they took their seats. It was a long ride and as if automatically Kazu pulled out his DS lite and Jun closed his eyes resting his head against Kazu’s shoulder, although he wasn’t sure when he first thought Kazu was important to him, he did know when he first wanted Kazu to always be with him.
10 years earlier
He was about 12 years old and had been coming home from school, it was raining hard and as he had been cutting through the park near the baseball field, he had been horrified to see Kazu sat under a plastic slide trying to keep dry
“Kazu-nii?” He said running over to him, Kazu gave him a small smile
“J” he mumbled and Jun came to sit next him trying to shield him with his body, which was funny with their difference in heights.
“What are you doing out here? You’ll get a cold” Jun told him in a scolding tone wrapping a thin around his shoulders trying to get him warm, secretly glad that his brother let him, most of the time he would only allow Satoshi to cuddle him like this.
“So will Jun-chan…” Kazu whispered shyly looking away from him and at the rain again, it was always confusing to Jun that although he was the youngest (and smallest) Kazu had always been the more fragile, wrapped with insecurities that the brothers didn’t understand, they were only made worse when Kazu entered school, in the regular school Kazu had been bullied every day, Jun wasn’t an idiot, he knew there was something… Special about Kazu, in fact when they had been really young their parents had sat them down and told him that there was a reason that Kazu was in another school. It wasn’t that Kazu didn’t understand, his parents had told him gently when he had protested loudly that he wanted to go to the same school as Kazu-nii, it was just that sometimes he would get lost in his own mind. There were lots of things that Kazu could do that seemed more like genius to Jun, like magic tricks. Kazu would sit in his room for hours practicing magic tricks and then very shyly he would show them, mostly to Satoshi who had always seemed to have the most patience with him that frustrated Jun a little but he couldn’t understand why, but right now he was happy to be in this shelter with his brother.
“Why were you here?” He asked and Kazu just shrugged looking at the baseball field, and Jun realised he was in one of his spacey moods. “Did you want to watch a game?” He asked and Kazu shook his head slowly, Jun chewed his lip “Did you want to play?” again there was a slow head shake and Jun was lost, almost wishing Satoshi was here, he somehow always knew what Kazu wanted. Kazu just stared at the rain watching it fall onto the small puddles, an almost smile on his face
“Kazu-nii” Jun smiled holding his hand and resting his head on his shoulder,
“J” Kazu breathed looking at their joined hands “Isn’t this disgusting?” Jun blinked looking down at their hands he knew why Kazu asked that, Jun had said it was disgusting when he had seen him holding Satoshi's hand but that was because he was jealous, jealous that it was Satoshi that always got Kazu’s attention, that seemed to be able to know what Kazu was thinking without even asking. Jealous that when Kazu was crying from being picked on it wasn’t him that Kazu had buried his face against, but right now it was him that Kazu was holding on to and he couldn’t be happier
“I wish I could always be with Kazu-nii” he said, Kazu didn’t answer but held his hand a little tighter continuing to watch the rain.
