"I knew you were scheming!” Nino whined looking at the paperwork Masaki and Sho had just produced out of nowhere. They were clearly marriage papers and he was trying hard not to smile with all the happiness that he could feel bubbling away up inside of him. He couldn’t believe that finally his friend was getting the happiness that he had deserved for all of his life. Shizuna was sleeping peacefully in Ohno’s arms and he was tempted to choke as he grabbed the pen that Sho was waving around and quickly signed his name in the witness box.
“You better hand this in today…”
“We’re going as soon as we’ve finished here…” Masaki informed him his eyes sparkling with tears of happiness his mouth so wide with a smile that he could see all of his teeth. It would have been almost creepy if he wasn’t so pleased for the goofy guy.
“You’d better! Or I’ll send the old man with you…There’s not allowed to be any more excuses you two should have been married ten years ago!”
“We know…” Masaki sighed taking a step towards Sho and wrapping his arms around his waist his head pressing to the board chest. “But it’s happening now and Sho-chan will be moving in…”
“…Good…” Nino nodded again handing the signed papers to Masaki before looking at his own husband and child. He really didn’t want to interrupt their little bonding session but he knew that there was something that he wanted to say to Sho. He cleared his throat a little pulling Ohno’s gaze up to him “I’m thirsty, Old man…Take Masaki and go buy me a drink you can sign the papers then okay?”
“Yes my love…” Ohno replied immediately getting to his feet and carrying their baby over to him and Nino smiled knowing that he was going to have to make up for everything that he had said and done today. Ohno placed Shizuna down onto his chest and Nino smiled stroking the little back hardly able to believe that the baby he had felt moving inside of him for the last 9 months was here on his chest. He grabbed a hold of Ohno’s arm keeping him in place for a minute before he kissed the sweet tasting lips.
“I love you…” He whispered when they finally pulled apart not caring that Masaki and Sho were getting all embarrassed watching them.
“I know I wouldn’t put up with you if I thought you didn’t…” Ohno replied kissing his nose before kissing the top of their daughter’s head “Try not to be too hard…You’re meant to be resting…”
“I know shoo…” Nino laughed waving him away before rocking Shizuna when his jostling woke her from her sleep. She didn’t cry but just looked at him with the same grumpy expression his husband gave when he woke him from a pleasant dream. His friend and his husband left the room and Nino pulled his gaze from his daughter and looked at Sho “Your parents stopped by when you were gone somebody at the hospital tipped them off…”
“What did they want?”
“They told me that they could make things very difficult for Satoshi and my father…”
“What?!”
“Don’t worry I told them to go fuck themselves, I’m not worried about me, my father or Satoshi…” Nino grumbled honestly knowing that if push came to shove his father would protect them But I’m worried about Masaki…Or I was…Until now…But I thought I should tell you…They have no intention of letting either of you get away with this…”
“I know that’s why as soon as I get these papers done I’m going to talk to them…”
“Good boy...I knew there was a reason I liked you…” Nino smiled giving a wink to the doctor before suddenly feeling tired. “Get going then…”
