After 5 years dating a person and almost 10 knowing them it should have been difficult for anything to surprise Ninomiya ‘Nino’ Kazunari, about his lover so to walk into the apartment and see his lover making out with somebody else was more of a surprise than he could have imagined. He didn’t wait around for explanations or excuses there weren’t many that he would believe and even less that he wanted to hear. He turned on his heel without disturbing them and left the apartment and headed to the only person that he knew could help him.
Aiba Masaki lived only a block away and he didn’t even bother to get his car deciding that the walk would do him good and the fact that he hadn’t put his shoes on was meaningless. Masaki’s apartment door was the first thing that he focused on and Nino slammed his fists against the wood waiting only a few minutes before it was pulled open to reveal a halfway undressed Masaki who was looking angry at being disturbed though his expression changed when he saw him.
“Nino! What…What…You…Ahem!” Masaki said clearing his throat and pulling his shirt closed with a creeping blush his hair ruffled and wet with sweat. Love bites shone brightly on his neck and just behind him Nino could see the lucky…Or rather unlucky guy that his best friend had been getting with. He was pretty good looking, finely muscled but slim. There was a concerned look in his eyes though, along with a whole lot of affection when the eyes moved over his friend, and Nino doubted he would be put off too much by not getting his end away.
“I need a place to crash…” Nino said trying not to sound like his heart was breaking as he realised just how much this scene was like the one he had just left. To his credit Masaki stepped aside to allow him in without asking any other questions though he did flash an apologetic look at his date who smiled showing large teeth grabbing a t-shirt from the side and covering his body with it. “Sorry…I didn’t mean to interrupt…”
“…It’s okay!” Masaki said with a sweet predictability and Nino felt tears come to his eyes as he turned and wrapped his arms around his friend’s throat holding him tightly. His body gave a small shudder while Masaki’s arms wrapped around him picking him up and carrying him to the sofa “Sho-chan, would you make a drink?”
“Um…Sure, Boo…” The guy answered getting up, his hand brushing over Masaki’s back, as he headed into the kitchen area to make some drinks. The fact that he knew his way around indicated that he had been here a few times already and Nino was surprised that he hadn’t known about the guy before now.
“Boo? Already got a pet name?”
“I guess…Nino what’s wrong? Is it him?” Masaki asked his dislike showing as he huffed out the word him and for the first time Nino realised that his friend had never liked his boyfriend but had tolerated him for his sake and his sake only.
“…He was with another guy…They were all over each other…”
“That bastard! I’ll chop his dick off!” Masaki swore his normal happy-happy, joyful-joyful nature gone from his voice and Nino gave a chuckle actually glad that he had come here. He sighed wiping his eyes and resting his head against the back of the sofa while still refusing to let go of his friend. His tears were still falling but they would go eventually.
“I’ll let you…Later…Just stay here…” He whispered hugging the arm even when the Sho guy came back with three cups. Masaki apologised again but Sho smiled and shook his head telling him that it was fine and Nino sighed closing his eyes.
