Been busy myself. Just got back from Vegas. LOTS happening at work. EBL has been... well, EBL. What else is new?

Just a quick posting as I'm at work right now. SO much to update, just so little time.
Took my one class on a field trip which was AWESOME! The kids loved it - we went to EXXON Mobil Refinery here in town. One thing the presenters noticed was how observant the kids were. (They saw things that just amazed even me!)

BRISTOL WEEK 2 & REFLECTIONS
Still somewhat depressed over Peter. Did I make the right choice or was I being selfish? I knew I was going away for the weekend... but then I think would I have been selfish making him suffer... no matter how you look at it, it was a difficult decision. I know tonight will be hard as it is the first time home since I took him to the vets.

Peter developed a tumor on his leg about a month ago. 2 weeks ago we did xrays and it was moving into his lungs. Other than amputating the leg, which at his age seemed wrong, there was nothing to do but find ways to make his last days peaceful.
Today, I knew was "his" last day. I just got home from the vets. He is at peace now ( Read more... ) -

Well, I have gotten adventurous thanks to a beading kit I got for free. I made this really pretty agate coil bracelet. As I finished it, I realized it was fairly simple to do and thought about trying it in lapis - one of my favorite gemstones. So wandered to Michael's and bought some supplies and made one.
