I am! I am! Thankfully the JHS is in the week before tests, so there are no clubs at school. There's no taiko this week either!

I'm working on it. If I can work over 30 hours a week I will qualify to be put on the company policy. It will just depend on my supervisor giving me the extra hours to get me up there.

*hugs*

Thank you! It isn't exactly how I wanted it, but I do like how it came out!

Oh cool so you're changing jobs too? Your new one sounds nice, but I have to say, lucky you got insurance covered in the first place!! I have to pay everything myself right now, which was one of the only reasons I was considering a full time 9-5 job. No benefits right now, but more free time. I'm going to put more effort into doing other work, like part time jobs or private students this year hopefully. Losing summer vacation would be a bummer for me, but if you're okay with it that's cool! Work is work, right?

Too bad about your knee but it's better? And yay for valentine's and pancakes! I also did some chocolate melting because I felt very motivated on Friday when I came home from school. XD I ended up just giving it to a few friends in the end, not nearly enough for my coworkers. And yay pancakes too!

I was lucky in that my current hours put me into the range of "full time employee" and so I get that benefit. Do you not have the National Health Insurance? I'm pretty sure all foreigners have to be on either NHI or a company policy? Any Private insurance isn't actually required.

I'd rather work through the summer in all honesty. Travelling is more expensive and uncomfortable in that period. At first it was nice, but now it just irks me that I can't take time off when I want to and am forced into a long break.

It's about 75% of the way there. Now it's just not over doing it while it finishes healing. I had plans for chocolate, and as you saw, it ended up being more than expected. I think I got brownie points from the teachers though because I was the ONLY one who gave stuff out on the Friday. To be fair though, then 2年 teachers had only gotten back from the ski trip on Tuesday and Friday was their first day back at school. The whole school was out of whack too because of a bought of flu that had gone around!

I guess that's true... It's also the busiest time for traveling in Japan, so no matter where you go there are people. There is something to be said about choosing when you take your holidays.

Yep, you have to be careful with those knee injuries or they just don't get better! I totally forgot on Friday, although thinking the week before I had intended to at least buy a little chocolate and give it out to the other teachers, even if I didn't make anything myself. I totally didn't prepare anything and didn't even notice until Saturday! No one else gave out anything either so I guess it's fine?

Oh my goodness! I hope your knee becomes better soon and you're not in too much pain! >< Get well soon!

Also, yay for trying something new. It will be refreshing and I'm sure that you will discover the kind of schedule that works for you best!

I wanted to tell you for so long that I will be moving to Beijing actually for work in less than a week. I will also be teaching English in a private after school thing, so if you ever want to visit China, let me know.

Are you still going to be based in Osaka?

Hey!

My knee seems to be okay now. As of tomorrow I'm going to ease back into the jogging slowly.

It will definitely be a challenge, but I'm excited about it. And there is a chance for upwards movement in the new company!

Oh cool! But I will admit, China holds pretty much 0 interest for me... So I doubt I'd be heading over your way...

Yup. Still in my nice apartment!

Ah that's good news! :) Better to take care~

Promotion chances are good. I mean, you want a job that has some future prospects after all. :)

Fair enough. I'm sure that I will come to Japan for a visit at some point this year (hopefully). I have missed Osaka so much! <3

You can most definitely come and stay with me! You can use my place as like a base camp if you want and go about your travels ^_^

It would be awesome to see you again I must say. Good luck in China! If I change my mind about visiting I will hit you up!
