We got the apartment! I didnt knew there was like a whole process to getting an apartment [credit check and all]. We put in the application on friday, and they said that they would let us know on Monday whether we got it or not, and if we did, how much the deposit  was going to be. so your bond is only $300? :| lol here it's 4 times the weekly rent no matter your credit history and rentals about $300 a week!! so $1200!! its annoying too because when you move to a new rental you'd have to wait till they inspect the old one to get that money back... so you need another $1200 to pay the new one!

there were other places thought that asked for like $4000, to move in. i was like 'eerrr No! ' walk away...walk away...

OMG! $4000!! compared to $300... yeh definitely walk away!! more like run and say "HELL NO!!" hahah

I think ours is just standardised like this. The money we give goes not to the real estate but another place and they hold onto it. So when it comes to moving out the real estate inspects to see you left the place as good as it was when you moved in. If theres holes in the walls or ruined carpet they fix it with that money and you get whats left. basically so you dont destroy the rental? :-P

well that is a good deal. it basically protects the property, so that ppl think of that money when they are about to ruin the walls!
