For two of my friends, Mr. P turned heel a couple years before we started dating. He had dated another one of their friends; she accused him of cheating and stalking.

What a nightmare of a person, and one who clearly could not be trusted.
The on-again/off-again relationship with him (and he with his girlfriends), the "it isn't a date" followed by "Sayonara, we're working things out"... ugh.
So glad you're rid of him. And clearly on to better things!
