A wish I have for ANY fandom really is that fanfic writers and fanart artists dared to stretch their limits a bit. Dared to try something new. Dared to step away from the most popular characters/pairings.
Oh hell yeah! I love writing the neglected characters, always have, they have so much more interesting story to tell than the most popular sometimes! Back in the Lost fandom days, instead of writing Jack/Sawyer, I wrote The Others backstory and loved it. And even now I often write those characters. Very often with the hated characters, I can see a way of making them sympathetic (OUAT's Prince James and Greg Mendell were two I have attempted this with) and I really enjoy doing it.

I'm glad to see there are writers that enjoy writing those rare pairings to. :-) Makes me happy! :-D
