So its like this...I have to be home from EMT duty by 10. I tell my parents i'll be home between 9:30 and 10, but I'm home by 10:15 and they totally kirk out on me cuz I didnt call to tell them i'd be late or answer my phone (even though i was DRIVING when they called). And now they're really pist off at me and they dont want me to ever go back on

i completely agree. at this point, its a parents job to help you accomplish your goals, not put even more pressure on you

just tell your parents that if they keep bitching then one day when they stop breathing you'll refuse to perform CPR on them

its not impossible, karen, you just need to work out a time schedule and set your priorities straight, with that somewhere near the top (and sleep somewhere near the bottom,as weve all learned this year).
