Having had both I can assure you there's no comparison. Homemade is my favourite comfort food.

I'd venture a guess and say Our Lady of the Entire World is one of Mother Mary's many, many titles. If it's "Our Lady" of anything, it's probably her. /catholic

Aa, I'm so jealous! The only cultural festival-type things we have here are German and Irish (one of which is next week, I believe). I had a massive craving for pierogis last week, and we've not made any yet... there are the possibilities of plans floating around, though! What kind did you have?

Also this song is endlessly amusing: it's the song Oscar the Polish Caterer sings when he finally gets to the Christmas party... about his 8 Polish Christmas foods. XD

Oh. That makes sense, actually, hahaha... the only other title I know for her is Our Lady of Guadalupe, because I live in a predominantly Mexican area. Now I feel dumb for not thinking of that.

THAT'S RIGHT BE JEALOUS. Haha, it wasn't that BIG a festival, since there aren't many Polish people where I live. In fact the amount of people there was enough to fill maybe two of my Anth012 classes. (Which is admittedly a large class but still.) But that's not necessarily a bad thing. And are you going to either of those? I myself am not German, but I'd totally hit up a German festival. If only for the dirndles, hahaha.

And I had potato and cheese, Litwa had chicken and mushroom.
