I guess this is the bi-yearly or whatever thing where I tap the microphone to see if any humans out there still read Livejournal or if it's finally tipped over from 98% to 100% Russian porn spammers. (You larf, but this "new post editor" has its date in Russian for some reason.)

LJ doesn't appear to have been entirely taken over by Russian spammers though I have seen a few of my friends jump ship to Dreamwidth. Some of them still cross-post here, but for the others I've yet to work out how to sensibly read their (friends-only) blogs. Probably hack Semagic to check for friends updates on multiple sites or something.

Anyway, if you're talking about original fiction I'm not sure if there's a definitive replacement site. Probably FictionPress.com or DeviantArt if you wanted a dedicated site, or Tumblr or Blogger or Wordpress if you just wanted a random independent blog.
