thanks! I'm glad I chose this - i was nervous about the transition, but it's been seamless so far. (and believe me, if I wasn't forced to get a machine by the loss of the windows-box, i wouldn't be so lucky at the moment. student discount helps, too. and the free ipod also sweetened the deal). :) Mostly I feared windows vista and I am a huge fan of the lack of virus nasties here. Plus, it's cute.

I say get a mac - hold onto your linux machine and be portable via mac. If nothing else, the lightsaber motion-sensor thing is way cool! (not that I in any way advocate purchasing a machine based on its bells and whistles!)
