i am from the france community, although i never post, so i watch it more or less. i just want to say that i love all your pictures and would be most curious as to how you got the nice night shots espeically. do you use digital? if so what model and type and functioln do u use to those shots. they are really spectualr. i stayed in the east of france for 3 months as an exchang student but never had the chance to really see paris so i would have liked. those pics make up for it.
Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments!
I do use digital, and for these I did the following (sorry if very technical, but I just took a photography workshop!):
-set the white balance to auto, -ISO to 400 (so no flash!) -turn off the digital zoom and only use optical zoom -change the resolution to the largest possible in my camera in JPEG (when I get a bigger flash card I'll use RAW) -compression to superfine -not use auto but the P setting on my Canon S50 Powershot, which gives me more control than auto
I'm still learning but these simple changes in camera settings have helped.

Hi there!
Thanks a lot for taking a look and for commenting! I think I remember you from mtl's journal?
All those lights are for the Olympic bid, so the color schemes in Paris are amazing!
I participated in a digital photography workshop over Memorial Day weekend in Paris, so took LOTS of photos which I've been posting recently.
I'm glad you enjoyed the photographs and these looks at Paris. I'm traveling for work now, so will be on line sporadically, but will return with more photos.
