Your camping trip sounds like it was great fun, and I am incredibly jealous, even if you did have to pack up early. Also, I share your bemusement at the "camping" so many people do these days. I think they need a new word for it.
Yay Justin not needing lengthy and painful dental stuff, but I feel your pain at the loss of an interesting experience. I am sure that I will need glasses someday, but I have always wondered about braces!
What does a Flirtini taste like?
Ick for your weight watchers story. I hate feeling starved and hungry. =[
Also, huge hooray for fewer headaches. Same for me, though I have a very small one today. *hugs*
If we go camping at that park again, we may pick a spot from the un-reserved campsites. we walked through that area and there's no electricity hook-up (we didn't use ours), so there were no RVs or pop-ups. Just tents and the open-cabin/shelters. REAL CAMPERS
I can't remember what the flirtini tasted like, I think Amanda got that one. it did leave a 'girly' impression, though.
This month has been better. I don't know if I've re-trained my body to only needing the right amount of calories or if our cooking choices has gotten better...
~hug~ headaches are dumb. Maybe our progress will one day lead to zero. My doctor keeps mentioning that pregnancy either escalates headaches or eliminates them completely. (this comes up for future family planning.. not because i'm pregnant now) I'm hoping for elimination, not escalation. I can't imagine the uncomfortableness of pregnancy AND headaches that I can't take medication for.
I loved the update. Thank you for writing it and keeping us all informed.
The camping and wedding sounds like an awesome time.
Yeah for no dental issues. TWO hip hip hoorays for fewer headaches.
My mom and aunt both swear by weight watchers. I hope it gets better and easier as time goes on. As for the sports bra I bought a new one from New Balance and it is great if you are larger in the chest. I am hoping that the new bra will get me working out.
Green dress shoes are a must. Let me know if you get them and I will be looking for pciture updates.
Thank you, I'm glad I'm doing them. It's keeping my livejournal alive and it's good for me to keep all these memories.
One thing about weight watchers that confuses me is that when you reach your target weight... you continue to eat less calories forever.. there has been no discussion about how to stop losing/maintain. perhaps that will be the topic for meeting 18 or whatever.
I want to go get them this weekend. I hope those shoes are still there!
First of all, I may have told you, but Brazos Bend State Park is closer to you and has more alligators than Huntsville. I liked it a lot.
Second of all, Kate lived with her parents for a semester in college in Indiana and her mother did Weight Watchers. I saw her over Christmas break, after 4 months, and I have never, ever seen her so skinny, not even in high school. Her mom stuck with it and did all the shopping and cooking, and Kate just ate what her mom cooked and what was in the house and it was amazing. Unfortunately, as soon as she moved out and was not as restrictive with her diet, she gained it all back and then some. Bottom line is, it works, but you have to pretty much stick with some changes and add some good muscle and exercise, which it sounds like you are doing.

Even though we're very far away, it makes me feel like a part of your life.
