If you a novelist who thinks it's stretching to get 90,000 words you answer the question "how long is your novel?" with "apparently not long enough" and then you go off and write 10,000 words of filler. If you're you the answer is a long rambling account of how you started out thinking it would just be 90k and then you thought maybe it had to be longer and now you're thinking it may have to be split up into two books but to really tell the story properly an icosology (20 books) is really the only way to go.
