Kame will star in the lead role of this NTV drama adaptation of the popular '68 anime Yōkai Ningen Bemu as Bemu, the leader of the small trio of yōkai. His co-stars are Marumo no Okite's Suzuki Fuku as Berro and Anne as Bera. In addition, Kitamura Kazuki will play a detective, an original character for the drama. The drama will have original stories set in the world of the humans as the three yōkai strive to do good, hoping that one day they can return to being human.

ETA 4/30: Kame won Best Actor for the overall 2011 year 15th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix. It was in the newspapers today (2012.05.01 Japan time) along with the voting results. The article delves into praise and detail about how Kame portrayed Bem.
