Yellow Desk V.1

Today went very well! I actually got a lot accomplished, and I'll finish the rest of my project tomorrow.
Here's the photos of the progression from start to almost finished, and I'll update tomorrow night with the final shots!

I had written all over it around my senior year of high school. How juvenile of me! My scribblings were funny to look at, but more-so fun to sand away forever!

Primed twice.

Not bad for the first coat of paint!

The insects were suicidal.

Tools of the trade.

The knobs I chose for the drawers! I love them. Only $4.18 a piece.

Of the vast displays of paint swatches at Home Depot and the picture I had in my head of what I wanted my desk to look like, these were the final three colors I had picked out. The final decision was the lighter yellow-orange of the two called Desert Glow. The white for the insides of the drawers that I am painting tomorrow will be Silver Sky. Behr paint is magical.

After I got tired of waiting for paint to dry, and Justin called saying he was out of work, I headed over to his house. We went to Pat's Pizza in Hampden for lunch/dinner, taking his cousin Evan with us. We picked up our friend Ding after and drove out to the mall. I took the highway route which resulted in a lot of laughter. A large red truck sped past us on the way and we noticed a pair of muddied boots dangling from their fender!! The way they were kicking about made us all burst into laughter! The photo opportunity was difficult because he was driving much faster than 85, which was the speed I had to get us up to in order to get close enough shots. His plate said TEXAS. Maybe that's a thing they do out that way?? It was a good laugh either way.

BOOTS A KNOCKIN'

Wandered about the mall for less than a half hour. I found WarioWare Touched! in EB Games!! I've been looking for this game for QUITE some time now. When the DS first game out, this was one of the first games. I watched a friend play it and was so amazed with all the games and amusements that went along with it. I now have a used copy!! YESSS.

Now I'm off to relax and watch some Avatar before I go to sleep. I'm on the third "book" already. Apparently M. Knight Shyamalan is directing an Avatar movie trilogy! I love all of his work, so this excites me. I haven't figured out yet though if it's going to be animated or real-life? Either way it should be great. Oh, and X-FILES MOVIE thursday night!! I bought the tv guide magazine with Mulder and Scully on the cover. They look great! The article on the inside sounds like the movie will be a good one.

That's all for now, I finish my desk tomorrow!
