"Jin.." he whispered softly, while he strokes the older man's cheek tenderly.
I close my eyes
And the flashback starts
I'm standing there
On a balcony in summer air
I see you make your way through the crowd
And say ,
"Hello! My name is Akanishi Jin!" a 7-years old Jin held out his right hand, ready to shake the other's hand. At first, the smaller boy was hesitating. But when he saw the genuine smile on Jin's face..
"Kazuya! Kamenashi Kazuya desu! Yoroshiku~"
little did I know...
"Why are your family packing all those big packages Jin?" 12 years old Kazuya asked, dumbfoundedly.
"...Kazu.. we are moving..”
"Moving? To where? To my house? Are you going to move into my house??” pondered little Kazuya, getting excited by the minutes.
"No, Kazuya.. We’re moving away.. to America.. because my father got promoted as the supervisor for the branch in America..”
Tears started to form in Kazuya’s eyes, but he lost his control when Jin continued,
"We might not come back.”
And I was crying on the staircase
Begging you please don't go…
“Don’t forget me once you live there, Jin.” pleaded Kazuya when the separation moment arrived finally. Before he managed to say anything else, a finger was pushed upon his lips.
“Don’t say that Kazu-chan.. I wouldn’t forget you.. Never..”
“..Liar.. who knows, you’d forget about this skinny boy from Japan once you’re surrounded by blondies..” Kazuya pouted, sulking.
“No! I swear! I would never ever forget a boy name Kamenashi Kazuya who live in Japan!” vowed Jin
“..Promise?..”
“Promise!”...Then promise that you’ll be back!”
Jin held out his pinky and, "Pinky promise!” and moments later, their pinkies entwined.
.”Wait for me..”
I'll be waiting….
for you to take me somewhere we can be alone..
"It has been 2 months since you’re back, Jin.”
"O-really?.. Time sure flies quickly.. Isn’t it, Kazu-chan?”
"Y-yeah.. by the way.. did you.. happened to receive any packages around 3 months ago??” Kazuya braced himself for the answer. God knows how much he hoped that Jin would have received the package and if he did, we should have understand Kazuya feeling towards him by now. But his hope were crushed..
"Package? What package?”
"..Err.. a small brown package..”
"..Im sorry, but i don’t remember receiving any packages.. Why are you asking, Kazu-chan??” Jin asked with a smirk on his face, but Kazuya was too busy staring at his fingernails, nervous, to even notice the smirk.
"Don’t call me Kazu-chan anymore! Im already 17!”
"Whyyy??? The fact that you’ve already 17, so even I, you’re bestfriend since forever cannot call you Kazu-chan anymore??? Lame excuses, Kazu-chan..”
Kazuya couldn’t help but to feel a pang in his heart at the utterance of ‘bestfriend’.. After that, it was like his body reacted to the strange wave of emotion he’s feeling. His eyes got teary and his body began to shake,
"B-bestfriend?”
"Yeah, bestfriend! We are bestfriends, right?”
Kazuya bit his lower lip hard and quickly ran as hard as he could.. away from Jin. Away from the man he confessed his love in a letter he posted almost 3 months ago. After years of friendship, the moment Jin was away, only Kazuya realized his true feelings for the older boy. It took him almost 5 years to gain the courage to confess his feelings. And when he did..
I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you were ever coming around
My faith in you is fading..
“Kazu! Wait!” Jin ran after Kazuya and grabbed his wrist, forcing the younger boy to stop his increasing pace.
“What now, Jin? You didn’t get the package.. I guess its fated..”
“What’s fated, Kazuya??”
“We-we can’t be together.. like you said, we’re best-friends.. ne?” he laughed, but every sane person in the world would have noticed the fake-ness of it.
“W-What?? Why??”
Kazuya frown at Jin’s inquiry but he just shrugged it off.
"Cause.. i-… *silence*” Kazuya bit his lower lip before he continued, “..err.. i think my mum might’ve been looking for me now.. i better get going.. bye..”
With a swift turn, Kazuya walked slowly, leaving the taller yet older man, standing there, alone.
He was deciding whether to sleep or to eat as soon as he reaches home, when…
“So, that’s it??” Jin shouted, from where he was standing.
Kazuya couldn’t help but to turn around, with a, “Huhh?”
“You are giving up just because I didn’t get the damn letter?? That simple? What happened to the brave, courageous Kazuya that i grew up with??”
Kazuya went speechless cause in the next second, he was wrapped tightly into Jin’s arms.
"Jin..”
"I received it.. but..Say it.. Let me hear it.. from you..” Jin whispered to Kazuya’s ear.
"Jin, I- I love you.. I love you Jin, I love you..” and with that, droplets of tears came running down his face again, wetting Jin’s shirt, and Kazuya slowly wrapped his own arms around Jin’s waist.
"Hey, don’t cry…Kazu.. i know.. cause.. I love you too..”
I love you and that's all I really know
It's a love story baby just say yes..
Kazuya’s still sleepless, but now he had his head rested on Jin’s broad chest, seeking for comfort as he reminisce. Gazing at the beautiful face of Jin. And his eyes now threathening to close..before he fell unconscious,
'Cause we were both young when I first saw you...

A/N; wow~ this is my first song fic.. ^^ and im pretty pleased with it~ although please firgive the grammar mistakes~ *bows* i bet the song must’ve been familiar.. its Love Story by Taylor Swift.. ^^ i somehow got inspired by the beautiful lyrics.. <33 and akame just suits the song~~ XDD
