I would like to take a moment now to appreciate the country I live in.
Tonight, I hope that every American citizen was able to live in a moment of great American History, as Barack Obama, a man of color, has won the US presidency. I myself feel overwhelmed with the fact that now America is not only a telling nation, but a showing nation. We have always been a country to tell the world how things are done, and now we finally get to show them. Years ago, we said that anyone could become president, and now that has been proven.
I am so grateful to be alive on this day. The only way this day could have been better is if I could have actually voted in the election, but it affects me greatly nonetheless to imagine that my grandchildren will someday ask me what it was like when the first black president was elected. And I will be able to tell them that both candidates fought admirably, but this man was the fairer choice.
Not to mention, at the school I go to, the majority of the student population is extremely racist and conservative. That is why tomorrow morning I will walk through those front doors with my head held high and tell all of those people (who rubbed it in my face when George W. Bush won his second term) that John McCain did his very best, and I admire him for that, even if I still think Barack Obama was the better man for the job.
I am really rambling on, aren't I? I'm just so happy! And it's such a horrible shame that Barack's grandmother missed it as well; I'm sure this is a very bittersweet moment for him.
And FINALLY, JOHN MCCAIN HAS STOPPED THE VICIOUS BOO-ING DURING HIS SPEECHES!
Okay, to get away from the political talk now, I have other news!
After nearly three years of waiting and hoping and pain, I HAVE FINALLY GOTTEN MAH BRACES OFF!

After:
Now the After, in my opinion, is the best picture I have ever taken!.
