I officially do not like my new job. They just started this on call thing, where you are scheduled an extra day each week and you have to call in like 2 hours early to see if they need you...it's a nice Wednesday afternoon...no rain or anything, and they need me to come in. I totally wasn't expecting them to need me, so I was getting ready to go to

waah waaaaah you had two work there more than two days in a row. poor you. suck it up!!
that on call system is effed up. they should call you, not expect you to call them and say "oh gee, do i need to come in today?"...because of course they're going to say they need you. It's like they're forcing you to volunteer to come in.

It totally sucks...they had like 4 managers there tonight b/c they're training 2 new ones, and then there was me and another lady. We didn't need that many people. I'm on call for Sunday, and I was like, that means I have to come in right, since it's a Sunday, and they're like, yeah probably. Another girl is on call, too, but she is scheduled 2 hours after me, so she might not get called in, so that's annoying...and they have 6 people working Sunday...why would they need me? We normally only have like 4. You can't make any plans for your on call day, b/c they might need you. Did I mention that the on call thing is scheduled? They put it on your schedule with a shift and everything, then you call and see. Another thing that bugs me...it takes like an hour to get out there...I need more than 2 hours notice.
