you know they're probably responsible for more lost jobs to americans than immigration from neighboring countries? they're also responsible for DEcreasing working conditions in china. and the huge imbalance of trade between the US and china. they request products to be made so cheaply that it is seriously hurting the chinese economy followed by our own. they're like 20% (or some ridiculous number) of china's exports to the US. then when they hire people from the US, they underpay them and give them laughable benefits. you know there are health insurance plans here that you can get for $10 a month that wont even pay for a one-day hospital stay? that's the type of insurance they can get. false peace of mind until you need to use it, then you're screwed.
on top of which, the worst offense: they sell DVDs that are edited for content! :)
That's the thing, I usually am a Target girl, but my friend just wanted animal crackers and Walmart was closer. It probably would've been faster to drive all the way to Target.
I had to go wait for some free company garb... we were in lines that were alphabetized by last name. I swear that the R-Z line was going slower than any other line and I was getting my panties in a wad (most likely due to heat and lack of sleep), but still it was moving SOOOOO slow!
I try to boycott WalMart... but I did get a free book from them one time when it wouldn't ring up and the cashier didn't want to go look up the price. Maybe that's why they want cheap items - because their employees GIVE them away?
I hate Wal-Mart

It’s been my experience that most Wal-Mart employees have I.Q.s just slightly north of room temperature. In fact, I think they hire anyone who is just a degree or two warmer than that as well. That new one by us is so slow, I try to shop there only if it’s a 3-day weekend so I have time to make it thru the line.
Next time you want animal crackers a little faster, try mail order.
frickin' hilarious, cate, i laughed and laughed and laughed. especially when i read the title of the book you just finished. sometimes life's little irony's are the sweetest.
and frickin'-A. i hate wal-mart so much i refuse to ever, ever go there. i'm a bit poorer for going to rite-aid, but much happier in spirit. come, join me in this silent revolt.... :)
