I have plans brewing. They are scary but exciting plans. On one hand, I think I'm heading in a very stupid direction. On the other, I feel more enthusiastic and motivated then I have in months. So we'll see ( Read more... )

Well, Geordie says the drivers are awful, but why don't you ask him about living there? wassupgam is his AIM; or if you feel weird about contacting him, we could all chat. Maybe when you come online you can tell me about your plans! If they're not seecert bizniz. :D

He probably won't be on tonight since he's driving up there and already very tired (he just left the house before I came back online), but maybe tomorrow. I can always pass on a message, too.

Umm, it has it's good parts and bad parts. Way more bad parts than here. More ethnic! Lots of tasty spanish restaurants. Not sure about the bus system either. Umm, yes.

Mmmmm....tasty Spanish restaurants.....And I think most places in the world are more ethnic than Sarasota. Except for Inverness.

yay! plans are good, from my experience with Tampa a car is more useful that in Sarasota since the mass transit has be weakened. the drivers are crazier but there is less driving while dead in Tampa. Sarah would be a good person to ask about this....good luck with "the plans"

That was what I was worried about...well I'll be in the city on the 8th, so I'll get to ride the bus for myself

Plans? Plans?? I AM intrigued! Good luck on the job searching if you do decide you have to get a different one. I just went the OMG MASSIVE OVERTIME route, but I do understand it's not for everyone ( ... )

I could tell you it involves a brain in a jar of formaldehyde, a series of idiotic clones, and a dream machine but I'd actually just be describing the plot of a movie...."evil grin"

Yeah,from what I can tell the bus system looks marginally better than Sarasota (with regular hours even on Sunday) but the whole cancelled bus routes may be a problem. I'll be in Tampa on the 8th, so I'll see what's near where I'll be and what not.

My main issue with the bus routes is what they are centered around. For some reason any bus leaving my neighborhood has to first go all the way up to Citrus Park for a half hour before it will head down town. I know about four years ago the buses around USF were pretty useful, but that was four years ago. Google has a really cool thing where you can get directions via bus route for Hillsborough county, so you might want to play with that ( ... )
