Calling all FICTIONPRESS writers/readers!
Heyheyhey, everyone! I'm going to get the word out on Tough and Dirty. Tres exciting, no? Read on!
Tough and Dirty (TaD) is a newsletter for the FP world of readers. There are a variety of things included in the issues, ranging from reviews to advice!
Every issue that comes out has a review of a FP story, or a book that's already been published and released to the public. There are normally four separate reviews. There's a review for a FP one shot, a review for a regular story on FP, a review for a romance book, and a review for any book in general. If you are ever needing a good story to read or a new book to search out at the library, then you will definitely enjoy those reviews.
TaD also has an advice column. Everyone has questions when it comes to writing, no? Well, I'm the advice columnist at TaD, and I'm willing to answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability; just send in any questions you have about writing and I'll give you an answer! You can ask about why people like certain characters/plots, how to fix a grammatical/convention error, or even how to write a good introduction for your story! Send in any question you'd like. :)
We also have an article that will come out with every issue. The article will cover anything; one issue it could analyze why bad boys are so appealing, while the next it could cover why writers write what they write.

Also one of the coolest things about TaD is the writing prompts. Not only is this newsletter just there for readers' entertainment, it also provides prompts and contests for the readers to enter! If you win, there's a possiblity you can win a great prize. Not only is it a great way to improve your writing skills, but it also helps to get your name out there. (: Rachelle (hollyisfainting on FP, and the founder of TaD) will choose something like a photo, song, sentence, word phrase, etc. and Jules (effervescent-sentiments on FP, and the Prompt Judge on TaD) will read them over and choose a winner! The story will be in the newsletter, so all of the TaD readers will get to read it! The first prompt will be a song.
Finally, we have interviews with authors on FP! Although I can't tell you who the first author is, I'll have you know that she's been nominated for more than one award in Round Seven of the SKoW Awards; she's very quirky and a fun writer whom everyone is bound to love!
The issue come out once every two weeks; the first one is set to come out on April 11, 2009.
