Once again I am plenty excited about the environment and budgeting. Could be something to do with the Level 4 water restrictions. It could be something to do with my Woodford Folk Festival program arriving in the mail (and realising I may be on a youth environment panel, so I really need to actually do something).

What's the lunch pack? Sounds intriguing... I need to start taking lunches to work again regularly, i spend too much money on that.

It's just the usual insulated lunch bag with drink bottle sleeve, but she bought it for me all kitted up with the freezer pac, cutlery, etc which was so convenient. Plus the container has a cool microwave hole to stop it popping open with steam.

I feel pretty fancy when I'm in the lunchroom.

I like the re-usable plastic bento boxes at the Vegan Lunchbox blog. Have a hankering for myself for a bento box, bento bag and sigg bottle (aluminium type bottle, don't re-use the plastic ones - yurk). But time constraints and cost mean I haven't got around to importing one. I think they'd be fantastic for kids, or anyone who likes to eat small bits of lots of types of food.

For adults I'd just go the regular insulated bag and microwavable lunch box. I'd add cutlery and napkin, 'cause I dislike things you use once and then throw away. One small action, multiplied over several meals over days, weeks, years = literally thousands of dollars (and errrr, saves landfill if you're that way motivated).

Plus uni food is poxy, fattening and full of pesticides and dead animals. ;P
