I am henceforth the heaviest that I've ever been. I jumped onto one of those shopping centre height/weight things today. Sure I had my shoes on, but I usually weigh myself with my shoes on and tend to wear Docs too

yes, but how much of your weight "gain" is bone & muscle mass? Wouldn't it be better if you had one of those calliper pinch tests to see how much of your body mass is fat?
We have body fat scales at work (Q-health) that do impedence vs. height/weight to work out your percentage body fat. It's the next best thing to immersion volumetric studies (i.e. dunking people in water and seeing how much water they displace, then comparing it to their weight to get a fat ratio.
Anyway, yeah, my body fat is definitely up from what it use to be. I'm not sure about this recent weight gain.. will have to check again.
